Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole-wheat)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (like basil, oregano, or thyme)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
- Lemon wedges (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, olive oil, and dried herbs in a medium mixing bowl.
- Dip each seasoned chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure a good coating on all sides.
- Place the coated chicken breasts on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the coating is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges, if using.
