A delicious mash-up of creamy Caesar salad and grilled chicken in a soft buttery roll, this Chicken Caesar Sandwich is perfect for quick lunches and casual dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, grilled and sliced
- 4 buttery rolls or sandwich buns
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Grill the chicken breasts over medium heat until cooked through, about 6–8 minutes per side. Let the chicken rest before slicing into thin strips.
- Toss the chopped romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing until well coated. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Slice the rolls in half horizontally. Optional: heat them briefly on the grill while the chicken rests.
- Place a generous portion of the Caesar salad mixture on the bottom half of each roll.
- Layer on the sliced grilled chicken and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover with the top half of the roll and serve immediately.
Notes
Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F (74°C). Dress the lettuce just before serving for the crispiest sandwich.
