Tender and juicy chicken drumsticks slow-cooked with simple seasonings for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken legs (drumsticks)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 cup chicken broth or water
Instructions
- Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels.
- Season generously on all sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Place the seasoned chicken legs in the slow cooker in a single layer if possible.
- Pour chicken broth or water over the chicken legs so they’re partially submerged.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
- For crispy skin, transfer cooked legs to a baking sheet and broil for a few minutes until the skin crisps.
- Transfer to a platter and serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, always use chicken broth instead of water. Optional variations include adding cayenne for heat or herbs for garnish.
