Description
This skillet-cooked chicken breast is tender, juicy, and finished with a buttery herb-scented pan sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil (about 60 ml)
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth (about 60 ml)
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Prep the chicken by butterfly or pound to even thickness.
- Combine garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, paprika, salt, and pepper; rub evenly onto chicken.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high; sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Reduce heat to low, add chicken broth and butter, and simmer with a covered skillet for 10–12 minutes.
- Remove chicken and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing or serving.
Notes
