Description
A delightful chicken dish featuring succulent breast, earthy mushrooms, and fresh herbs, perfect for busy weeknights or dinner parties.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 8 oz fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- Fresh herbs like thyme or parsley, for flavor
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Begin by marinating the chicken. Combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then coat the chicken thoroughly. Let it sit for 15-30 minutes to absorb those lovely flavors.
- In a skillet heated over medium, cook the marinated chicken until golden brown, approximately 5-7 minutes per side.
- Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more olive oil as needed and toss in the chopped mushrooms. Sauté until browned and their moisture has evaporated.
- Stir in the remaining minced garlic and your choice of fresh herbs, letting the aroma fill your kitchen. Return the chicken to the pan and cook for a few more minutes to meld those fabulous flavors.
- Serve warm and enjoy this delightful dish!
Notes
For a touch of elegance, consider drizzling a balsamic reduction around the plate or garnishing with a sprig of fresh herbs.
